We came here for a yelp event. Their farm-to-bar concept is really great! We both got their "Norma Jeane" which is vodka-spiked strawberry lemonade. It's SUPER good. Can't even taste the vodka BUT YOU CAN FEEL IT ;-) Definitely my kind of drink. I'm interested in coming back and checking out some of the other drinks like their twist on the classic old fashioned and manhattan. Something that I really liked other than the drinks themselves is that the bar doesn't feel like an afterthought. It was a cool place to hang out on it's own even if you didn't have a movie to go to. Makes you wonder if it's a movie theater with a bar in front or a bar with a movie theater in back. Either way your date will be impressed. #datenight
I love the setting of ipic, don't love the price but I get it. Recently it seems that a seat or two is either wonky or broken in some way. So reclining and relaxing is a little awkward. But the staff is good the food is good. And over all I like the privacy of the two side by side seats.
The cost of dinner and a movie at a theater of iPic's caliber makes choosing the venue a proposition that is an investment of entertainment money you have to carefully consider. Which is why the Bar at iPic Theaters is such a great fallback as a place to relax in the iPic style at a fraction of the cost of dining in the theater. The seating and surroundings are comfortable and never feel overly crowded even on busy days. There are a couple of pool tables and plenty of screens with sports on to watch from several different, comfortable seating positions. I've always received fast, friendly service here as well. The drinks here are worth the price they ask. Their ingredients such as syrups and bitters are often made in house. The wine list is better rounded than some restaurants, especially the sparkling wines. There are some very creative and tasty items on the apps menu if you crave a bite as well.
The soft pretzels are delicious here and I think the environment is very good. I would say overall the bar is much better than the iPic theater itself. When you go to the theater if you don't get the upgraded seats you have to order your food and bring it in yourself so I feel like it's better to just go eat food at the bar and go to a different less expensive movie theater if you were going to do that. I don't go this bar all the time but it's a cool place to meet friends and have a snack, meal or drinks. I especially like all of the little garnishes they have at the bar for the different types of drinks. The soft pretzels are really good with the mustard and cheese dips.
We stopped in and had the fig Old Fashion and an expresso martini. The bartender was professional and polite, and he gave a master class on making drinks.
